MOONFRUIT delivers apples selected from its partner growers to buyers directly from its own cold store and packing facility. With no trader in between, we can speak plainly about both price and provenance: which orchard, which harvest date and which storage conditions are all on record.

Wholesale buyers usually need more than a one-off lot — they need a steady flow through the season. Our controlled-atmosphere storage capacity makes a supply programme running from August to April possible.

Who We Supply

We supply national and regional retail chains, wholesale markets, greengrocer chains, the juice and drying industries, and exporters.

Each group wants something different: shelf presentation depends on colour and calibration standards, while industry is driven by tonnage and continuity. We grade to match.

Quality Classes and Calibration

Fruit is separated by size, colour and quality class on the optical grading line. Extra and Class I are prepared for retail and export, and juice-grade fruit is set aside in separate lots for industry.

Calibration ranges are set to the buyer's requirement. Pallets loaded to a single range, rather than mixed calibration, generally suit retail buyers better for shelf layout.

Packaging Options

Cartons, plateaus, alveolar trays and bins are available. For retail supply we can also work with the buyer's own crates and labelling.

Industrial purchases are handled in bulk bins, which cuts both cost and loading time on tonnage-based orders.

Pricing and Delivery

Apple prices vary by variety, quality class, calibration and point in the season, so we quote on request rather than publishing a fixed list.

Shipping is by refrigerated vehicle. Domestically, buyers can load at our facility or take delivery to their address.
